NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety 

Who is this for?

Aspiring occupational health & safety practitioners (OHASPs) requiring a strong core knowledge and higher-level management. Completion of a NEBOSH National General Certificate is highly recommended.

 Overview

The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety provides the knowledge and understanding that underpins competent performance as an Occupational Health and Safety Provider (OHASP).

This core knowledge is transferable between the different occupational sectors in which OHASPs may work across industry, commerce and the public sector. There are no prerequisite entry requirements, though students will find it helpful to have completed the National General Certificate first. Students should also be aware that this is a demanding qualification – approximately equivalent to an honours degree level – and therefore may find it very difficult if they do not have this background knowledge and/or the ability and application to study at this level.

Exam                                                              The NEBOSH International Diploma course is assessed by three open book assessments:

Unit ND1*: Assignment in four parts covering – simulations, workplace based activities, reflective tasks and a research project. This paper has an approximately 60 hours assessment time.

Unit ND2: Case study, which is a scenario based, simulation only assessment with an approximately 40 hours assessment time.

Unit ND3: Case study, which is a scenario based, simulation only assessment with an approximately 40 hours assessment time.
